This year John hand-crafted three pens with a Firefighter theme and the Negrete Firefighter Foundation logo on them. He donated the pens to the silent auction at the Negrete FirefighterFoundation event. It was held in Copperas Cove, Texas on August 16, 2025 to raise money for scholarships to the fire academy.
